Using Max Revive Soon...

In other words, we're coming back! When? I can't say for sure. I would love to release a new episode before 2012, however.

I've been getting quite a few emails in the PKMN Center inbox (especially in the last month or two) asking me if the Pokémon Center Podcast is, in fact, even still around, and if so, when the next episode will be coming out.

I don't know why I waited this long to post here, but here I am now! You see, I got busy. With school, mostly. Yes, I've had a 3-month break, but my being busy was not the only reason for the hiatus. Another reason was that I could get neither my act together (I'll try my hardest to remedy this in the future) nor could a couple of my staffers--I won't mention names; mostly because I don't remember what the names were. Another possible cause was the almost-doubling of the number of staff members shortly after the production of the second episode began, including two new editors, who I actually still have yet to discuss details with! (I will introduce the new staff in the next episode itself, and I will post them to the staff page once I confirm who's still interested in being on staff.) The final probable cause deserves its own paragraph.

The Pokémon Center Podcast #2: Anniversaries and Alomomolas, Woobats and Swoobats! (A Special Pokémon 15th Anniversary Episode)

THIS EPISODE IS HOW LONG?! I know. It's loooooooooong. Deal with it.

Why? Because today, February 27, 2011, is the 15th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Green Versions in Japan, and, in turn, the 15th anniversary of the entire franchise! For this stupendous occasion (funny word!), my new team and I have gone all-out with tons of new segments, including a special 42-minute edition of FLASHback! Why didn't I cut it down? Well, I did. But it's on the podcast, unabridged, because it deserves to be there as such! Ha!

@The episode title: WTPF?! Well, the first word is self-explanatory. The rest have to do with Valentine's Day, which obviously went down this month. Figure out what they have to do with Valentine's Day on your own.

Don't be discouraged by the length! I have a list of times for each amazing segment here! What have we got for you in this 2.75-hour episode? Read on to find out!

(As a note of warning, this episode was originally scheduled for release on the 21st, so some content is a tad outdated. This does not make up most of the content, however, so all is well in the world!)
  1. (0:00 - 10:45) Introduction...
  2. (10:47 - 25:42) EzloSpirit launches our new recurring Pokémon News segment! Exciting news this month includes B/W news, TV show news, and news regarding the new Nintendo 3DS!
  3. (30:32 - 1:12:53) A special 42-minute 15th anniversary edition of FLASHback, in which your hosts reflect on the past 15 years of the franchise and discuss what they'd like to see in the next 15 years!
  4. (1:22:38 - 1:30:08) New segment host TheEpicPhanpy interviews a Pokéfan/YouTuber in his new POKéMANIACS segment!
  5. (1:38:17 - 1:46:22) Host KingMudkip brings you this month's Pokémon of the Episode: Bulbasaur!
  6. (1:49:00 - 2:02:21) Host EzloSpirit announces some of the latest in-store and Wi-Fi distribution events, including ones that many of you likely missed! Ha ha!
  7. (2:03:35 - 2:19:39) Your hosts read a couple pieces of feedback that listeners sent in regarding last month's episode, and EzloSpirit announces our new forums!
  8. (2:19:40 - 2:33:57) Your hosts take a very long time to wrap-up this month's episode! Why? Because we don't want it to end! Or something like that.
  9. (2:34:01 - 2:43:31) Credits, because more than one person worked on the podcast this time, plus we gotsed lots more gewd Mew-sics this munth. Ya'll.
  10. (2:43:33 - 2:48:43) Woopers, and other funny and/or entertaining outtakes!
On behalf of all of us Glameows at PKMN Center Productions, I sincerely hope that you enjoy this month's episode, and that, if you have not already, subscribe to our podcat (get it? Glameows?) on iTunes or any other podcast-subcribing thingy! Please send us your feedback at pkmncenterpodcast[at]gmail[dot]com! It might be read and responded to on next month's episode! Also, you can visit the official Pokémon Center Podcast website/blog at, where you can find the first episode, PKMN Center Radio (featuring the background music from the podcast), exclusive podcast news, and more! Also, be sure to check out (and even join) the new Pokémon Center Forums! We've got member-exclusive podcast content!

Next month will be our (likely shorter) Black & White Versions special! The specials unfortunately end after that, but oh, well! We've got more staff, including new segment hosts, that have stuff for you next month, so look forward to that (and if you see them on the forums, be sure to say hi)! Catch you later!

If you are on the website/blog right now, you can download this episode, Episode 2, directly in mp3 format by clicking on the link provided. You can also listen to the entire thing here using the media player below. It might not be as convenient as downloading the episode, though, especially considering the length.

Meet the new staff! + PKMN Center Forums Launch!

Hello, listeners! We're currently hard at work on the second episode, which will be out later this month! That's right: "we!" Yes, the Pokémon Center Podcast now has three new faces (unfortunately, only two of them will be in this month's episode). I'll introduce you!

First, we have KingMudkip, a new general host, who will be hosting the second episode alongside me! He is a cool person (like all of the new staff), and he's very interesting to work with. He knows what he's talking about, too, which is always a plus.

Second, we have TheEpicPhanpy, a new segment host, who will be hosting a new recurring segment called "POKéMANIACS." I won't say anything else about the segment, except that it's a very interesting (and entertaining) one!

Lastly (for now), we have Blizzaga, a new general host and segment host, who will unfortunately not be able to be in this month's episode. Next, month, though, we expect him to bring us yet another new, interesting segment to the 'cast, so look forward to that!

I also have a VERY exciting announcement! If you look to your left (on the webpage, silly), you'll see, under the "Interactive" section, a link to "PKMN Center Forums." If you've clicked that anytime for the past few days since I put it there, it took you to a page stating that the PKMN Center Forums were under construction and would be open to the public by February 8. Well, they're open by the 8th, alright. In fact, I opened them a few hours ago! Come and join the forums, and discuss Pokémon, the PKMN Center Podcast, Nintendo, life, sports, writing, and tons and tons of other stuff! Also, I'm currently the only moderator, so I'll be on the lookout over the next couple weeks or so for dedicated, mature, exemplary members to be selected as possible mods! Regardless, come and join the fun! Actually, at this point, come and make the fun, as one of the founding members! Yahoo! Just be aware that some rules and a couple other things for specific forums (primarily in the Artisan's Cave category) still have to be sorted out and posted, but otherwise, the boards are yours for discussion! Join today! No, join NOW! Here's an extra link:

Until...a couple weeks from now!

P.S. EGGEH!!!!!

The Pokémon Center Podcast #1: Your Pokémon Journey Begins!

Hello! My name is EzloSpirit, and this is the very first episode of the Pokémon Center Podcast, which is, quite simply, a Pokémon podcast! For now, it's only me flapping my jaws, but that's okay: you'll live! The Pokémon Center Podcast focuses primarily on the Pokémon video games, but it may expand to include the TV series, the trading card game, and more in the future.

I have a (most likely) exciting line-up for you today! It is as follows:

  1. (0:00 - 5:30) Introduction
  2. (5:30 - 30:09) I highlight some of the new Generation V Pokémon, and I discuss some of my favorite new features of Pokémon Black & White Versions.
  3. (30:10 - 34:24) "Jam" to two awesome battle themes from the upcoming Black & White Versions.
  4. (34:25 - 40:54) I launch our recurring "Flashback" segment by musing about Pokémon Red & Green Versions.
  5. (40:55 - 45:46) It's our first-ever Pokémon of the Podcast: Togepi! (a.k.a. "Togie," "Eggy," and..."EGGEH!!!!!")
  6. (45:47 - 51:56) I plead for other staff members. (If you know for a fact that there is and never will be a small chance that you would be interested and able to work on this podcast, feel free to skip this segment.)
  7. (51:58 - 57:58) Current Distribution Events around the world! Pokémon Events FTW!
  8. (58:00 - 1:02:04) Outro
  9. (1:02:43 - 1:05:24) The (almost-pointless) credits.
  10. (1:05:37 - 1:06:11) WOOPERS!!! Wait. Did I really just--? Wow. I meant BLOOPERS!!!

I hope you enjoy this first episode! Please feel free to send me your feedback at pkmncenterpodcast[at]gmail[dot]com! Also, you can visit the official Pokémon Center Podcast website/blog at, where you can find all of the previous episodes (well, not quite yet), a list of staff (um...), and contact information, plus direct downloads of each individual episode and exclusive podcast news!
